21 November 2025Review: DRS Reisen at the Tourism & Caravanning (TC) Leipzig trade fair
Touristik & Caravaning (TC) is one of the largest and most diverse trade fairs for holidays, travel, and caravanning. It took place at the Leipzig Exhibition Center from November 19 to 23, 2025. DRS Reisen GmbH was also represented with its own stand and presented its extensive Romania travel program to a wide audience.
The trade fair was a complete success! Demand for trips to Romania remains high, as the country is considered an insider tip. Romania is a fascinating travel destination with a rich history, impressive natural landscapes, and a diverse culture. Visitors can expect a wide range of nature experiences, for example in the Carpathian Mountains, the picturesque region of Transylvania, or the Danube Delta.
The country’s culture is shaped by multicultural influences. Historical cities include Kronstadt (Brasov), while impressive castles such as the famous Törzburg (Bran) (also known as Dracula’s Castle) are a special highlight. The larger cities combine historical charm with modern life: Bucharest as the lively capital, and Sibiu and Timișoara as former European Capitals of Culture.
Those interested in history will find important sites from ancient times to the modern era, including the ruins of the Roman city of Sarmizegetusa Regia and UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as the fortified churches in Transylvania and the painted monasteries in Bukovina.
The regional cuisine, distinctive wine culture, and warm hospitality of the people also make Romania unique in culinary terms.
DRS Reisen GmbH, based in Stuttgart, is a tour operator offering a wide range of packages for discovery tours, adventure, and relaxation in Romania. These include guided tours and themed trips that combine culture, nature, and history in a variety of ways.
Whether it’s fascinating tours along the Historic Cafés Route, mountain bike tours through the Carpathian Mountains in Transylvania, city breaks in Bucharest, nostalgic trips on the Mocănița steam train in Maramureș, hiking and cycling tours, cultural and city breaks, castle tours, visits to the fortified churches in Transylvania or the Moldavian monasteries – DRS Reisen has something for everyone.
In addition, DRS Reisen offers other special experiences: the medieval UNESCO city of Sighișoara, known as the birthplace of Vlad the Impaler (Vlad Țepeș), as well as the famous Moldavian monasteries and fortified churches in Transylvania. Nature lovers can discover the Danube Delta, one of the most species-rich biosphere reserves in Europe. Those who want to explore Romania off the beaten track will also find special tours through Banat, Wallachia, or along the charming Historic Cafés Route, which combines culture and enjoyment.
