April 13, 2024: “The world-famous Glenn Miller Orchestra “LIVE & SWINGING”

The world-famous Glenn Miller Orchestra, conducted by Wil Salden, returns after the great success of 2017 for the concert in the same gala setting of the Romanian Athenaeum on April 13, 2024 from 7: 00 pm!

Gates open to the public from 6:30 pm and access to the concert hall from 7:00 pm!

The world-famous Glenn Miller Orchestra with experienced big band musicians (4 trumpets, 4 trombones, 5 saxophones, 1 clarinet, drums, piano) presents itself absolutely remarkable and the interpretation of the famous pieces, so lively and true to the original, will thrill and excite audiences of all ages!

The highlight of the show is the evocative moment “Moonlight Serenaders”, in which the stage is transformed into a swing temple, bringing the very special atmosphere of the thirties and forties back to life.

And the very special piece of the swing evening in the Romanian Athenaeum will revolve around the universally loved, sung and recited star: LUNA! “Moonlight Serenade” & “Blue Moon”.

Thanks to this completely unmistakable sound, remarkably harmonious and at the same time electrifying, timeless titles such as “In the Mood”, “Rhapsody in Blue”, “Leroy Brown”, “Pennsylvania 6-5000”, “String of Pearls” are created. “Chattanooga Choo Choo”, “At Last” are just some of the other evergreens that the orchestra will perform live.

Even today, 85 years after the founding of the Glenn Miller Orchestra (1938), the musical universe is still enriched by these memorable melodies and orchestral arrangements.
